ORIGINAL ARTICLE: Indian Woman pours Boiling Oil on Sleeping Husband
In a shocking incident, an Indian woman poured boiling oil on her husband’s face while he was sleeping following an argument.
The incident took place in Madhya Pradesh’s Sagar district on January 4, 2021.
The police have reportedly registered a case against the 35-year-old woman, identified as Shivkumari Ahirwar.
Shivkumari and her husband, Arvind Ahirwar, had gotten married four years ago.
According to reports, the victim is being treated at Bundelkhand Medical College after suffering serious burns to his face.
According to police reports, arguments between the couple were a common occurrence.
Arvind was a daily wage labourer who often returned home late from work, much to his wife’s annoyance.
The couple live in a joint-family home with Arvind’s parents and brother.
Arvind’s brother told police that the victim and his wife had an argument the night before the incident.
He said: “They didn’t fight long as parents intervened and controlled the situation.
“But around 5 am, in a fit of rage, she poured boiling oil on his face when he was asleep.”
On hearing his screams, Arvind’s parents barged into the room and took him to the hospital with the neighbours’ assistance.
Arvind’s brother also said that the victim stayed at home and regretted her violent act.
The police have filed a case against Shivkumari based on the statement of Arvind’s brother.
In a separate incident, a 36-year-old Indian woman stabbed her husband to death on January 2, 2021.
The woman reportedly posted the information on her social media account and then attempted to take her own life in Delhi’s Chhatarpur area.
The Delhi Police confirmed the information and said a neighbour and the landlord called them timely.
The neighbour flagged the woman’s Facebook post in their call to the police control room.
Whereas, the landlord called for assistance as his tenants were not opening the door.
The police stated:
“The door was locked from the inside. Blood was smeared on the floor and walls of the apartment.”
The 37-year-old victim was reportedly found lying in a pool of blood as a result of multiple stab wounds.
His wife was found unconscious on a bed near his body, she is being treated at Delhi’s AIIMS hospital.
The police have filed a case of murder against the woman, however, they are yet to record her statement.
